What! No comments! Only 8 faves!

This is unacceptable, especially given how stylishly drawn and designed, not to mention neatly lined and colored this piece of everyone's favorite opera ghost is!

The sharply tapered anatomy of Erik's face, such as his incredibly sharp jawline, the painfully skeletal contours of his cheekbones and sunken, hollow eye sockets, the puckered, tightly drawn and paper-dry lips all evoke the horror of his cadaverous appearance and overall body structure.

Additionally, details like his unkempt hair falling over his face, the spindly, bony fingers, the unsettling yellow iris (nice nod to the original Leroux description!) and even the earring (evoking his time spent abroad in Persia and across continents?)

One of the most striking components of this portrait is your finely deft use of marker. When you stated you used marker for this, I could scarcely believe it! Marker? You accomplished with such a heavy medium, which gives a solid color of contrast most of the time, this wonderfully washed look that you managed to control in different degrees for various of textures, like the silken cravat and waistcoat, the stiff mix of crepe(?) and wool/velvet?
And finally, how you gave the clothe dimension! It looks and "feels" like real cloth! And different creases for the different materials! Softer, longer wrinkles for the silk, harder, smaller pinches for the stiffer material of the jacket- impressive!
